The best start in life for all our children.

Healthy Living and Well Being

At Carterhatch Infant School it is our aim to work together to develop children who are healthy, happy and confident individuals. Across the school we embed a healthy living ethos, creating building blocks to support our children to lead a healthy lifestyle now and in the future.

To support our children’s mental and emotional well being we provide a safe, open environment so they feel secure enough to express themselves, their feelings, concerns and achievements. This encourages reflective learners who are able to adapt and respond to challenges.

We develop our children’s physical health and wellbeing through a cross curricular approach by integrating it into our day-to-day practice. Physical activity and healthy eating is a priority in our school and educates children to make healthy lifestyle choices.
